My boyfriend and I met each other about two years ago and dated for six months. In that time he was 21, I was 18, and alone we were great, but in public (mostly in just small groups of friends), he became very aggressive and disrespectful towards me. After about six months, we broke up. Now, a year later, we have gotten back together and have been living together for six months again. We both express our love for each other and have been taking life together very seriously, however at a flip of a switch, he irupts and insults me and/or yells and is very disrespectful to everyone in the general area. With my ways, I get very annoyed and usually leave the room or stop talking to him for awhile. Then he comes around an hour later, like nothing happened and he is his sweet self again. I don't get it. Is it just me or do you think there is something else besides his "as*hole self" that is an explanation for these outbursts of aggression and anger?

This might be that he is bipolar or maybe abusive. Usually bipolar people tend to get angry for no apperant reason and the usually take their anger out on other people. Imagine you and him having kids, would you really want your kids to see their own father behaving that way. And even worse what if he hits them?

Dump him before he gets mad enough to beat the heck out of you. He is not going to improve and your future is just more and more of that behavior form him.
