I know that volunteering at hospitals and libraries are common, but is there anything else that might count as a extracurricular activity? I don't mean anything inside of school, because I'm more interested in what I can do outside of it. Also, do scholarships count as extracurricular activities?

Uh, scholarships don't count as extracurricular activities. Wow, what kind of scholarship did you get? Special Students award in Mental Retardation?

Anything that you do outside of school that doesn't involve a television, a gameboy, surfing the net and doing nothing with your friends, and benefits you or your community in some way can probably be considered an extracurricular activity.

Scholarships are usually based on extracurricular activities...and are not considered activities. THey are, however, counted as awards won...which can get you recognition other places.

anything you do outside of school hours, other than homework, can be considered extracurricular.
