lol! I visited a college that had phones like that next to some of the buildings. I looked at it and thought, "If I'm getting raped or killed, how I'm going to have time to get to one of these phones and call the police? I'll be dead by then."
It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it would be very helpful. I think it reflects badly on a college, if so many people get raped that they need to have a phone like that. It must also be kind of scary when you see it on your own college campus and think, "Wow, just think: This must be where people usually get raped."

devil homages? you already know the belongings you notice in video clips is fiction, remarkable? ;) The crime costs on college campuses tend to be very low. Crime costs do selection from campus to campus, city to city, yet all unis truly positioned up crime archives, so which you would be able to lookup such issues on their internet site. maximum US universities have a sturdy share of distant places pupils on campus. the US is a rustic of immigrants, and distant places pupils tend to experience somewhat welcomed, extraordinarily in a city like l. a., that's somewhat cosmopolitan. understand that the US is extensive. it extremely is the size of each and everything of Europe. whether your mom and dad' chum had seen undesirable experience re: foreigners whilst he lived in, for example, east nowhere, South Carolina, that would not prepare to l. a., or to Boston, or to the different city it extremely is over 1000 MILES from the place he lived. And he lived there, what, 20 years in the past? greater? How a lot has existence in Greece replaced in that element era? Do you think of issues are the comparable interior the US as they have been 25 years in the past? My suggestion is which you get a sturdy student instruction manual e book to the US, including one from the tough instruction manual, permit's go, or Lonely Planet sequence, and study up on the area as in case you have been going to be a student vacationer. study the adjustments in subculture from one area to the subsequent. study approximately l. a. and southern California. as properly, touch UCLA admissions and ask them to place you in touch with a eu student who's reading there. they are going to gain this. Then ask that student your questions.

yes.
my college did have those.
when I was walking across campus alone late at night I used to run from one to the next!
it was mildly comforting, actually, to know that they were there.
(this was way back in the day before cell phones)

Is it really becoming that much of a problem? Seriously, who needs a silent alarm like the US Bank & Trust? Don't get into dumb situations in the first place and you'll be a lot better off.

Nope... who are you going to call if you get raped? Like anyone's going to get there in time. And I'm sure the rapists just happen to attack by the phone every time.
