I will be out of work for about 8 weeks after roto cuff surgery, What do I do about my child support order. Hopefully I can collect something but it's not the same as my paycheck,

call your caseworker and ask them what steps you need to take in your state.
every state is different (slightly) about guidelines, so you need to find out.
child support will keep adding up, but at least they will be notified it is a valid (medical) reason and not issue a warrant for your arrest. you can even request it be lowered for this time period as well, if your state will let you.

You need to contact the courts to change your payments related to your income.

Child support don't stop because your not working. They will just get it when you get back to work.

ask for a modification thru the court system.
