Practice and lots of it. Also, when you're driving with your teen, DO NOT PANIC. If you're tense your teen will also be tense. Just relax. Also, have them just drive as opposed to you telling them where and when to turn. Let them pick where to go. They will feel more comfortable knowing that they won't have to wait for you tell them the next turn and can concentrate on the road.

Try taking her out driving on some country roads. It will help her to get comfortable driving without the distraction of other cars and pedestrians.

For me it was easier to learn from my sibling, try someone closer to her age that she could be comfy with! Or if you really want to be the teacher, relax don't talk at all unless she makes a mistake, then simply suggest a resolution! Or distract her by asking her how school is going, or ask her if she wants to drive you 2 to the mall for a little good luck shopping!

Eh, I don't know what to tell you.
I'm the same way, though. Driving freaks me out--Being in control of somthing bigger than me.
I'm 16 and have pretty much decided I'm walking everywhere or taking a bus the rest of my life. =]]

Practice, practice, practice!
I was so nervous when I was first learning to drive
I was scared of being in control of something bigger than me
nothing anybody said made it any better
i just drove nearly everyday as often as I could and the fear gradually left me because I was more confident in what I was doing
