Because they are adding an extra hour to the Today show and something had to bumped from the lineup.
Passions is expected to end its run in August. Additionally it was hinted that Days Of Our Lives would probably not continue on NBC after its contract ends in 2009.

Because the TODAY show is adding another hour! It'll be 4 hours. I think 3 is plenty. Anyway, Passions had low ratings so they got bumped off. Passions will be on until August.

Its low in ratings and they need to make room for an extra hour of the Today Show. Its cancellation is posted on Soap Opera Digest and all the other soap operas websites.

specific, that's actual. i'm keen on Passions, like your self. i visit be unhappy to work out it choose for yet another hour of the right this moment teach. it will be effective to *with a bit of luck* see the tale strains resolved. i think of that the cleansing soap would be cancelled in overdue August/early September.

have you ever watched it? Its pretty f-ing stupid... i watch it 3-5 days a week b/c I'm addicted but I'll be the first to admit its pretty crazy.. you remember when it first started? its been on a while but I remember life before passions so.... I'll just stick with days i guess! I hope the guy who plays fox does something else because hes hot!!
