anyone have any advise on how i can switch from one chord to another fast

To add to what Wisdom Troll, above, wrote (I've played and taught on the side for 20+ years)

-when you start to figure out where the fingers are supposed to go, practice your chord changes with your eyes closed- you'll be amazed at how fast you speed up-
-some of the great acoustic blues guitar players were blind(Google 'Blind Lemon Jefferson', 'Blind WIllie McTell')

Slow down and practice it SLOW. Slow is fast. That is the rule. The only way to achieve speed is to practice VERY Slowly and methodically. Your hands will know when you have mastered it and will speed up automatically...never go faster than what you can play perfectly.

Lots of practice, it also depends how far the chords are from each other.

Yup...practice a whole lot. It's the only way to improve.
