If it was me.... I'd give my man a pair of wellington boots just for a laugh!

Original ideas? Hmmm... it would have to be something you made yourself for him.

Ideas... how about....Go to your local pottery and paint up a ready-made mug or something. I got my kids hand prints on a tile as a gift for my mum and she loved it. (or lying through her teeth).

Also you could maybe get a funny picture and make your own slogan get it printed out at the Kodak shop, printers or Boots into a T-shirt or something. (Most photo places do photo prints on mouse mats, mugs, calendars etc)

Sweeties - you can go to somewhere like "Thortons" chocolatier store and get a personalised message written on chocolate hearts or something for him - if he's got a sweet tooth.

Gadgets - you can get him some funny gadgets. Men are like boys, who love toys no matter the age!

Hope I have given you a few ideas..... have a nice Valentines Day.

Ive got my fiance a framed display of "our song" which is One by U2. Its a 10/8" photo which has been signed by u2 and has the cd and COA in a nice frame.

This is expensive although you can pick them up cheaper at around £25 if its not signed, best place is internet search, I found mine on ebay.

Hope this helps

How about a bonsai tree? I think they're really cool and a sort of manly alternative to flowers!! You can get some nice littles ones for £20 as well.

If it were me I would like a shirt/clothing or a cd.But you want other ideas I think. Guys aren't really romantic so I would say take him out for a nice meal. He will like that. Maybe a film afterwards
