yes; if you work best at the last minute, suppose you moved the "last minute" a little sooner? In other words, go crazy working on the assignment a few days/weeks before it's due (depends on time frame of assignment). Then you will get a lot done, maybe all of it. You can then revise it/add more later, but still before it's due.

As previously stated, spend a couple of days recording what you do. Record everything, no matter how minute. If the bulk of it is spent on the computer, give the power cord to a friend until you can prove that you've done what you needed to do. If you need it for school or work, disable the wireless card or unplug the ethernet cable.

Do this for three weeks. It takes 21 days to make a habit

Hope this helps!

You see yourself as a procrastinator/ lazy person. Therefore you act like one. Motivate yourself everyday. By saying am going to do this and doing it.

Procrastination is the result of a deep-seated feeling of unworthiness. Somewhere within you are saying, "Oh, I can't." to yourself. Sometimes knowing this is enough to examine your problem and move through it. There are plenty of self-help books that can also be helpful.
Excellent advice about limiting your computer time, too. It's like TV and video games - they give you the impression that you are doing something, but these things are just procrastination strategies.

I also have the same problem. I have never tried this, but I have heard of an exercises you can do every morning. You stare yourself in the mirror every morning and say to yourself out loud several times, "do it now". I guess you are kind of talking to your subconscious. Good Luck

You know, I'm a pretty big procrastinator, but it works out because I've found that I do my best work under pressure.

It's just something you'll have to figure out how to get over. You'll have to make yourself do the things your supposed to. You can try thinking about how great you'll feel that you got your tasks accomplished and you don't have to worry about them anymore.

But then if isn't creating a problem, why worry about it?

Thats my second least favorite word. I'm guilty alot. When I get around to doingwhatever it was I didn't like. I usually feel better for having did it. And wonder why I put it off so long. Like my dishes.....They'v been there all day. I might do them before bed, maybe not. HA!

Just think of what you have to look forward to when you finish whatever you're procrastinating on. You get this feeling of greatness and accomplishment when you do finish something. Just get that feeling and cherish it. It'll help you get along.
