In the United States House of Representatives and the United States Sentate, do you believe that bipartisanship is actually going to happen where both Democrats and Republicans will agree with each other? Why or why not?

I do not see bipartisanship actually happening because the relationship between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party is like the relationship between Boston Red Sox Fans (Democrats) and New York Yankee Fans (Republicans) because both fans are not fond of each other.

Not a chance. Democrats are noteworthy obstructionists when they are not in power, are even worse when in power.

They paint happy names on their refusal to be bipartisan, like 'First 100 Hours', etc.

Even when Republicans do exactly what Democrats insist must be done (ala Clinton's 1998 "Iraq Liberation Act") the Democrats go berserk. They are horribly uncooperative if they can see political gain in it.

It's sort of an idealistic hope I don't think we'll really see. After all, the reason the Dems are now the majority is because the people are sick of how this war is being handled. They expect the Dems to do something about it. Bush is immovable, he says he's listening, but it's nothing but lip service. The lines are being drawn. But, and this is a big but, if the Republicans keep withdrawing their support from the President, as so many have already done, then the issue of the war becomes a bipartisan stand against the President. Tonight he will talk about bipartisanship and of course the rhetoric will make it sound like it's the Dems who don't want it. From where I'm sitting it's clear he doesn't want it either, unless their idea of bipartisanship is to just agree with everything he says. We are seriously divided in this country on everything BUT the war now. What we have now is a high majority of citizens who do not approve of Bush's handling of this war and a small percentage who stick with Bush right or wrong.

U.S. recession began final December, economists say via Edmund L. Andrews printed: Tuesday, December 2, 2008 So final 365 days could be December 2007 certainty examine. Democrats did no longer take administration of congress till 2007 & they did no longer write the cheap till economic 365 days 2008 it extremely is silly to assert they are fullyyt in charge for a financial disaster that began in 2007. I mentioned fullyyt by way of fact they bare some accountability only like the Republicans.

The only bipartisanship I've seen recently was when the FBI searched a congressman's office ( http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/05/20/jefferson.search/index.html ). Both Dem and Republican congressmen agreed they were above the law and should not have their offices searched like everyone else's can be. Short of another situation like that, you'll only see make believe bipartisanship, trust me.

They pretend to be bipartisanship, but they are not. If you see how republican and democrates have voted in regards to illegal immigrants, more social program, grown bigger in government, and they are anti USA

The Republicans ignored the American people. They lied cheated and stole. The Republicans kidnapped, tortured and killed innocent people. The Republicans had weakly conference calls with a minister who spent his congregations donations to Jesus on meth and gay prostitutes. The Republicans kept a Congressman in office that they knew was a child molester.
They are a hard group to agree with give us a break.
