All of the people who didn't recognise that this was something so special. And now have to have the coverage of this issue shoved down there throats. What the coaches did as "people" not "black people" is what is important. The day we all don't make a big deal of things like this will be the day we made great progress towards no racism..

Its the media that hypes this stuff up. However, its the 1st time it has happend. There was a time where black players weren't allowed to play as well as no coaching opportunities were available as well. Anytime when you have a society where a class or race has been dominate for a long time and minorities become successful, it will be big news. Those were dark days back then and anyone any color or race should be proud that those days are gone and enjoy the game in two weeks.

80 white coaches have made it to Superbowls. Finnaly there are not 1 but 2 black coaches in the Big Game. That is a big deal for african americans everwhere even if you don't care.

Well as a Caucasian I cannot speak about this as I have not faced the struggles as the African-Americans have in many aspects of society and sports. They are 2 good coaches and i never see them as a black or white coach - simply a coach and a man.

I am. Who cares? African Americans have spent all this time trying to get to be treated equally, and now everyone is just focusing on the fact that they are African American. They are both coaches, that's all that matters.

It's a shame that this particular event is history. Im African American and I am also tired of hearing it mentioned. We shouldnt be celebrating this, we should be asking ourselves as american people.....why hasnt this happened a long time ago. especially when the NFL has been around for 41 years and just recently gave Black quarterbacks a chance to lead a team because history says that the NFL didnt give Black quarterbacks a chance to run a team because they werent intellegent enough to run a team.....but were intellegent enough to read a play book, and dominate every other position.

If anyone wonders why there is a race problem in this country look no farther than emphasizing a persons race for an accomplishment. I think the only ones that seemed to down play it were Lovie and Tony. The double standard is what keeps race a topic.

I'm not. You have to realize that its a big deal to african americans because we havent been able to get the same opportunities as other white americans. I can understand you not seeing it with the same perspective as us but maybe try and look at it from someone elses skin.

I am. It's great and newsworthy, & will go down in history. I'd rather be remembered for the kind of coach I was and the team's performance than that, but I'm just a dumb white girl and what do I know?

Well I'm sick of the black people sayin we disrespectful, if they made a big deal about two white coaches, then they would shout racism.
