One girl in my school was hanging out with a popular crew. And, unfortunately, I was near the bottom of the food chain for "popular" So anyway, that girl that was hanging out with the popular crew, had been "Deleted" from their group. So then she came to us because she had no one to go to. And now I feel her breathing down my neck all the time. I didn't like her in the beginning, and neither did my other friends. People are telling me that she gossiped about me behind my back when she was with the popular crew. I don't know how to say, "I don't want to be your friend" to her. How can I say that without hurting her feelings?

Tell her the truth, that you don't like her because she gossiped about you and the only reason she wants to be your friend is because she isn't popular anymore.

You don't have to say it with words. You can just be short with her, like you're trying to be friendly but just don't have time to talk or are not interested in what she has to say. She will eventually get the idea and leave you alone.
