Could somebody read this story and tell me about it. The story's title is 'Harrioson Bergeron' by Kurt Vonnegut. It's about what happens when society goes off the deep end trying to overcompensate for people's handicaps. It's against the law for people to be pretty, so the pretty people wear a mask. It's against the law for people to be better than someone, so good dancers have to wear stuff to make them look bad. People with speech impediments are giving the newscast on TV so they wonr' feel discriminated against. Smart people are made to wear a thing in their ear that blasts any coherent thought away after like 15 seconds.
Don't shortchange yourself, read the story! It's one of my faves. I can't stay online, so goood luck.

I need to point out that Dr. Lafave is a great professor and you would be doing both yourself and her a favor if you would just put in the miniscule amount of time required to read the story rather than dicking around on the internet. Unbelievable.

who has that little of a life that they will stay on the internet for three hours reading the book you were supposed to read and emailing you stuff about it!

I'm great at English, but I'm sorry, you really need to do your own homework. I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to spend three hours doing someone else's work.
