Planet Mars. Mars is known as the red planet because of its red-brown soil. It has two moons [ satellites] which are held in orbit around the planet.

Mars.
It is 1.5 approx AU from the Sun.
It has 2 moons, they are Phobos and Deimos.
Mars was named after the Roman god of Agriculture before his association with the Greek god Ares.
It has the biggest volcano/mountain in the solar system called Olympus Mons. It is about 78,000 feet measuring it from the surrounding area.
It has a very thin atmosphere that consists of mainly carbon dioxide.
It is very visible at night, showing you a red tinge colour.
Really cool stuff.
