I broke my Ipod today. it fell in some water. The battery went out and I can't recharge it.
I posted a request on Ebay to find a new one. Someone is now offering to buy my broken one from me. I'm just wondering, why would someone want a broken Ipod? Also, if I do decide to sell it to this person, how much should I charge the person? I only used the Ipod for 4 months.

They will pay someone to refurbish it and turn it into a working ipod

the warranty is only 90 days unless you paid for special for extended warranty.

you should wait until next week, when it throughly dries in warm area, maybe it will be useable after all.
if you sell it now for a buck or 2, you will never know.
why do they want it ? because they want the outside and put in a fake inside to resell to the naive

Broken ipods are good because when people ask if you've got an ipod they can say yes. Nobody asks if it works. Pick up line in the bar can now be...i've got an ipod my place or yours. 20 bucks

yes it can. it wouldn't physically "break" it but it could damage your files on the ipod some of my friend says it works and they did it but for mines it didn't work so i had to get a new one ^_^;

i know exactly why;
it has a 1 year manufacters warranty, and since you've only had it for 4 months, its still under warranty

Sell it to him for 25% more than you bought it.
It might be one of those people who like to tinker

They probably want it to fix it. It must cost cheaper to fix it than to buy one.
