why is it that people get more answers for stupid questions like "who ate all my doritos" or who ever dropped their cell phone" than any intelligent question.....i mean these questions are just ......well stupid

People don't come to polls and surveys for a serious question. That is what the other sections are for. I mean, there are quite a few questions I have asked in other categories, because I wanted or needed serious answers. I would probably just waste my time posting it here. Polls and Surveys is a complete blow off category, and we come here for fun and to let loose, not look for a serious answer.

Its entertaining to be able to quickly answer and voice your opinion
on something quick and easy or simple, sometimes thats all that
you want to do.
What I want to know is why someone asks a question and get
only a few answers and then 1-2 hours later or at night someone
will ask the same question but maybe reworded and get 50 answers.

I think it's because most people are stupid and couldn't give a well thought out answer if their life depended on it. I like the History section on here, cause I like to bat around history-related questions with people, but most of the people on here are kids trying to get someone else to do their homework. What sucks is when you have a thoughtful question on there and get 2 or 3 answers and then you see something like "What do you think of this stupid baby name?" and that person gets like 50 answers. Oh well.

sometimes people just want some fun. Answering stupid questions is just mindless entertainment. We don't really have to think to make the answer impressive sometimes. With questions that have real meaning, you usually narrow it down quite a bit as far as the people who know about that subject. With unitelligent questions, everybody can have fun and answer.

because stupid question are easy points and lazy people can answer them with out having to use their brains. i prefer some of both.
