I've got a guy at work that is constantly talking bad about me to other people. These people then come to me an let me know what he is saying. First of all this is a huge manufacturing company. We have worked together in the past. He accused me of punching him "which is not true at all" in which led to my demotion and moved to another plant in the company. He then got another job in the same plant that I was moved to. Now usually in the older days Id beat him silly. Oh and believe me, I want to now and have thought of catching him outside of work many times, but I am more concerned about being grown up and keeping my job as I am 32 years old. If I go to the higher ups then I'm some kind of snitch. If I beat his *** then I'm a bully and a loser. If I let it go, I will eventually go nutts. What should I do do resolve this situation immediately without all of the drama? Thanks for any help here.

Go to Human Resources and discuss it with him. He's already a lying snitch and transferred to be where you are to continue to get you. Tell them he's stalking you

Definitely report it of it is an issue that you cannot resolve with him directly...and of course without kicking his *** as you say. The guy sounds like a total loser...with all the drama he has brought your way, I think you owe it to yourself to get some help from HR or your supervisor. On the flip side, I find it appalling that the company you work for demoted you because of his lies about you punching him. Are you sure this is a well managed com pant that values you as an employee?

I wouldn't worry about the snitch thing. With any type of harassment, the harassee usually wants to be accommodating and brush it off lightly. But that may lead to what is the true definition of harassment....repeated behavior. If it continues even when you tell him to knock it off....that is the definition of harassment. Always, always go to HR and report the situation. If they don't take action, it isn't much of a company, I must say.
