I want to be able to record sounds that come from my computer without having to hold a mic up to the speaker, so is there a way I can record sounds in my computer without a mic? If not, please explain another way?

Yes
You can do this using Audacity software. You will need to be able to access the mixer for your soundcard to set the levels.
Check out:
http://www.cassette2cd.co.uk/diy - this details how to record from an external source on your computer, but the principal is the same. You will find the sounds from your computer probably on a channel marked 'WAV' rather than the AUX channel in the examples displayed.
Download the software (and PDF version of the guide) for free at:

the subject w/ the 1st answer is they do no longer constantly artwork because of the fact of your hardware or this is configuration. i've got got here upon a number of 'sound recorders' on line and that they on no account look to artwork as reported till i detect the appropriate configuration for the sound card i'm stting up. as quickly because it became because of the fact of a multi media card i offered to deliver/recieve the two video and audio from yet another source. yet over returned it became because of the fact i offered an extremely costly audio card from imaginitive. yet over returned it became because of the fact i had offered the pro version of quicktime formerly i loaded the recorder. you will be able to discover diverse outcomes besides, you will be able to discover it works immediatly. solid success.

simple as this bro, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder,

no need to pay for expensive software or hardware, just record the sound you want to by presing the "record" button, fast, easy, and best of all its free and intergrated into windows XP.

hope my answer helped. good luck.
