yea but an even worse one is chewing gum with your mouth open and spit just comes out of their mouth from not closing their mouth.

Yeah, that is a dirty habit...but i think nail biting is way nastier! Do you know how many germs are under there? Yuck!

I think spitting is the worst because it is so common, but if people defecated publically as often as they spit, defecation would be worse.
