Depends on what you like to do. My wife and I love National Parks, so we plan all our vacations around that. Gettysburg, Dry Tortugas NP (near Key West), Grand Tetons NP (WY), Steamtown USA (PA), and Promontory Summit (UT) are some of my favorites. The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY was pretty awesome too.

It is a state of mind. You have to want to relax and do something different, divorced from the day to day stuff, otherwise it does not matter where you go, you are on vacation in body only, when it is your mind that really needs it badly!
