Because they're insecure with themselves and think:
1. That it will make their boyfriends love them more, even when they don't even like doing it. The boyfriend then gets the fantasy and the girl has to grin and bare it. When all she wants is to be loved.
2. It's 'cool' and 'chic' and a form of attention seeking. If you suddenly have something big in ur life to deal with, then all ur friends and family r going to have to know. With all the insecure celebrities trying everything to keep themselves popular.. it's no wonder these girls r trying the same thing.

It's more accepted so you hear about it more but it's being going on for centuries. A lot of straight girls will kiss girls as friends/showing off in front of guys/ or the shock value of doing it in public. I'm sure girls experimenting with girls is more common in girl only schools or other such places but other than that I beleive it's been about the same for years. I personally don't know a girl who hasn't at least kissed another girl and I have a ton of friends. If bisexual guys were as accepted as much as bisexual girls then I bet more guys would be doing it too.

It is more socially and culturally acceptable now. And that is a good thing. A lot of young girls will be able to find out if they are lesbian-oriented and move along that path and not have to live lives of quiet desperation.

I think it's b/c being GLBT is now more widely accepted and talked about. To be honest I think young girls and boys have always experimented with each other and they have just kept it to themselves.

i think the experimenting is the same, but people are just more willing to talk about it.. society has loosened it's views.. personaly, it think it's good to experiment at a young age.. might as well get to know yourself and know what you like..

why we are is because some guys are jerks and there hard to talk to and girls are more understanding and some how more attractive. Im straight but some girls turn me on!

Because they are confused. People are being tricked into believing they are gay through media- ever present in magazines and sitcoms. The seed has been planted in people's heads and curiosity is hard to overcome.

i think because they think that thats what guys like so they change themselves into being bi. ive heard acouple of those. its like "the cool new thing to do". ha
