no she is not dead....she lets just say "needs to stay away from the Twinkies" for awhile.... She has gotten to be a big woman

No. Aretha Franklin is not dead. She is alive and well and there will be some kind of tribute to her on Saturday on tv.

The correct way to ask this question would be, "Did Aretha Franklin die?". You did many things wrong in forming this sentence...
1. You did not capitalize a proper name; first or last.
2. You switched tenses in the middle of a sentence.
Is it just me, or is the grammar (or lack thereof) really bothersome?

I haven't heard anything. Last I heard she was alive and kicking. They were concerned about her weight but I don't think that has had any affect.
