That's an inaccurate comparsion. The Nazis were far more powerful than al-qaeda. Nazis controlled Europe...al-qaeda lives in tents and caves. It doesn't take an arm and a leg to fight inexperienced fighters.

'more dangerous' means a lack of response and focus on al-qaeda by Bush. Obviously that focused has shifted to Iraq and left Afghanistan vulerable.

Maybe they mean he's strong on creating more terrorists. Maybe we've just been misunderstanding them this entire time.

He and this war are Al Qaeda's number one recruiting force. He's their version of the venerable Uncle Sam! 16 of our own intelligence agencies have said so.

I wonder how many Iraqis are happy with the "we drew them into Iraq, so we can fight them there" excuse. I'm betting not many. Maybe that's why all those "horrible liberal biased polls" said a majority of Iraqis want us the hell out of there.

If you keep up with current events you know that Al-Qaeda is not stronger, still dangerous yes, but not like before 9/11. President Bush has been tough on this issue. I respectfully ask if you have read anything since Sept 11, 2001? All agencies have been put under the umbrella of Homeland Security, we have given up freedoms to be made safer. Besides I do not like short terms like neocon, use the whole word, neoconservative. I am not a neoconservative and I say Bush is strong on terror.

Because Al-Qaeda was in Afghanistan, not Iraq.

In the Name of God the Most Merciful, The Most Compassionate!
The point why members of al-Qaeda brigade are stronger than USA is because Americans are still weak in handling the ideological front of the struggle.
The Sheikh bin Laden's supporters see nothing than tyranny in their respective countries and the total frustration has taken over the minds of the Muslim youths. Such things like unemployment, banning all basic freedoms and rights and imposing forcefully something which totally contradicts the mind of free people and finally the illegitimate character of local rulers - these are the main causes where al-Qaeda gets its strength. Secondly, radicals give the Muslim youths living in England, America or other Western countries the sense that they represent the Vanguards of the Rightful and they will form the solid base (al-Qaeda al-Sulbah) to fight back such shortcomings of globalization as oppression, unemployment, exploitation by TNCs, moral decay (AIDS, gay marriages, porn industry, sex-tourism, alcoholic beverages etc.) and finally the loss of cultural ground, which brings Muslim world into globalization as homogenization. These are the basic factors G.W. Bush unable to fight and thus where al-Qaeda is stronger.
The American Administration represents itself as a protector of so-called civilized world, which in fact has lost most of its basic values. Thomas Jefferson's notion of democracy and Jesus Christ's call for Christian love and compassion, along with Universal Declaration of Human Rights do no longer apply. Germans and other members of so-called international community keep on romancing with dictatorial regimes in order to secure their oil and gas supplies and keeping their economy rolling. Now why this cannot be a pool for terrorists, who are frustrated and disgusted by hypocricy of the World?
The compariosn of Vanguards of Khorasan with Adolf Hitler's brown brigades is at least inappropriate. The only common thing is combined hatred towards Jews - and that's it. The two movements are totally different by historical and ideological context.
In the final analysis one can stress, that al-Qaeda is strong in comparing to G.W. Bush because it wins on ideological battleground and represents an assymmetric threat to US and Western world while their armies are unable to fight them back. My dear American friends, the main enemy of the West is within itself - an egoistic and ignorant comprehension of the Muslim world and its problems.
Peace be upon all of You!

Because instead of Bush putting all his effort to run down al-qaeda in Afghanistan, some parts of Africa and stop the money flowing to them from Saudis he chose to invade Iraq. Why - beats me...

Who told you Al-Qaeda is stronger and more dangerous? Al-Qaeda's leaders are still hiding and the bastards are enjoying the luxury of making video messages and proving that they are all alive.

All the while, our loyal military is hunting and killing their terrorist followers and destroying their infrastructure.

Why the hell do you think there has been no terror attack against us since 9/11? That's 2001 for your information.

Where do you get your information from? Dreams? We have not been hit since 9/11 have we? What Bush needs is even greater tightening of security. I am willing to give up a few so-called freedoms for it, aren't you? We must do everything legal (and otherwise) to win our battle against these miserable bastards.

Al -qaeda is far weaker than before. Their funding has been severely curtailed. Their training camps have been destroyed, and they can't even speak to one another by phone because they know we can intercept any transmissions.

Their ability to even move about is difficult. We constantly raid suspected hideouts.

So, they have little money, they can't move about, and they can't even talk on the phone. That doesn't sound like they're stronger, now does it? :)

What has Al-Qaeda been doing? Crappy little stunts. They have neither the money nor the resources to mount a big a attack like 9-11.

So, I won't get your Best Answer vote by telling you the straight truth, but at least now you know.

Because in order for the world to grow more fear of the terrorists... The attack has to be stronger. For example: They used a planes to kill 3,000 people. Now they must beat their record to prove that they are going to become more and more vicious if their demands are not met. Hence what makes them more deadly.
