My fiancee and I are sexually active. I am going to be 18 in October and he is going to be 21 in February. I know in the state of Wisconsin that the legal age is 18. If I were to get pregnant before I turn 18, could I get married and the state do nothing about it? Can they do anything if we are married? Or can they?

I believe you must have your parents permission to get married if you are under the age of 18. Why do you want to have a baby so quickly? I'm 21, married and 24 weeks pregnant. Believe me, pregnancy is not fun... especially if you have to work. Why don't you focus on getting married, planning the wedding. Then you get to buy a house and decorate. Then if everything is going well try to have a baby. Create a stable and loving home before you get pregnant. And this way, you get to enjoy each individual thing and have time with your new hubby in your new home.

Why are you trying to get pregnant
At 17, you should be thinking about prom not baby
If you are sexually active, here are what to do:
Go to the doctor, get birth control
Always use a condom
Use a spermicide
Do not get pregnant until you are at least 20
Enjoy being young
Think about college
Please do not grow up before you have to

I believe you'd probably need your parent's permission to marry, and possibly a judge's permission (court order) if you were underage. Given how close to your 18th you'd be if you did fall pregnant, most people (including your parents) would probably advise you wait until after your 18th and after the birth of the baby to take the next step with your boyfriend. having a baby can change the dynamics of a relationship, and what you once thought was invinceable, may not be when you introduce a child to the equation.

Are you really ready for a baby? What's the hurry? Why cant you wait until you are 18 to get married, and then plan a baby. Please don't rush into this.
