The hit movie Titanic earned more in Europe than in the United States. As of September 1998, the average cost for a movie ticket in the United States was $4.59. In Great Britain, it cost $10.59 and in Germany, $8.42. If 74 million tickets were sold in Great Britain and Germany, how many would have to be sold in each country to earn $686 million? Round answer to the nearest million.

I'm only on the chapter that uses one type of variables per equation; in otherwords, i'm supposed to set this equation up using on Xs but not Xs and Ys. In that case, the first answer given by David may be very well be correct, but it's not an acceptable answer for me to turn in at my level. Since I am only working with 1 variable per equation, can u show me how to set this up if i were to only use, say, X variables without the Y variables.
