If you don't tell him you will always wonder what would have happened if you had told him. Try to tell him in a joking way & test the waters before you get serious about it with him.

I say definitely yes.
I had a thing for my best friend for about six years. I dated other guys, but "Ben" was always in the back of my mind. He found out that I had feelings for him, and we began dating, but discussed it at length first, knowing that something like this could potentially ruin a friendship. We just decided to go for it, stating that we were civil people and that if we broke up that we'd be mature about everything and remain friends. The relationship went absolutely nowhere, and I finally had to end it after 3 months because nothing was happening, and we saw no point to continue forward.
Even though it didn't work out, I am so glad that we at least tried, because I can now go through life knowing that we didn't have anything more than friendship...I can date other guys and I don't have to wonder what could have been with "Ben."
And the plus is...we're still very close friends...I feel like we're better friends now after this experience.
If this guy is your best friend, you can probably talk to him about anything. Talk about it. Good luck!

If u really know each other well, well there's sum pros and cons, but u should try and give it a chane, if ur really best friends with him

I would test the water.. kinda hint around..but you got remember if he doesn't feel the same it will get wierd
