Body language: Shifty eyes, looking down, little to no eye contact, fiddling with hands, sometimes a really bad liar's voice shakes when telling a lie. Generally, people act/say things that they wouldn't normally say or do.
Verbal clues: A good liar can fool you, but most will be shaky. If you question them there may be hesitation though. I even know some people whose speech slows down or speeds up significantly when lying.

Sweating, nervousness, excessive eye-blinking, failure to make eye contact, stuttering, irritability, and smiling. Yes, I've had some experience on the "receiving" end of lying. Can you tell?
