There are no such thing as curses. Your belief in them is the only power a "curse" will have over you. But, Items can carry emotions and imprints from previous owners/locations. Whenever I go antiquing, yard-saling, or to a 2nd hand store, I try to carry the item around as much as I can to get a feel for it, and if I get a bad feeling, I put it back. If you already have an item that you think maybe attracting some type of negative energy, just throw it away.

I believe that things and places can hold residual energies of the previous owners, including their own energies and auras... Everything (almost) is basically bio organic so energies can reside on just about anything. Some are good and some are bad...

But on the other hand, I have a good sense for these kinds of things and never even pick up something that I get a bad feeling off of. Especially Tibetan artifacts! Creep me out! Especially the rude, invasive, dubious ways that some of these artifacts came into the possession of those who deal in them... That is curse city to me! Even if only on a subconscience level... It's not right considering what was done to the people they were taken from... So I don't deal in them!

Remember nothing can hurt you exactly... but they can sure as hell annoy you if you are sensitive to that sort of thing.

I was at a flea market a few weeks ago and there was a lady selling a matched pair of male and female Daruma type wedding dolls. They are meant as wedding gifts for prosperity and fertility to newlywed Japanese couples. They were really old and beautiful and I would have bought them too... except for the fact that the eyes of the female one were scratched out... looked like violently too...

After seeing that Japanese horror movie called "The Grudge." I wouldn't even touch them, let alone buy them... and I actually felt so strongly about it I told the lady so too... They gave me an eerie feeling from the get go... So I don't buy things like that.

There is also a statue of a Japanese seated Monk in the local museum here that TOTALLY freaks me out... I look at it, admire it because it is stunning, but I swear it is hanunted by something (probably the person it depicts?) and I refuse to look at it in the eyes...It demands respect... Almost like it reaches out and tries to get your attention... The auric field around it is rather alive... Almost like as if a living person were inside it... SPOOKY!

Everything I own, I feel some sort of attachment to for good or bad... I believe in that too, that the things that you procure over the course of your life, you were, for whatever reason meant to have... Everything of mine feels like it is home now...

Objects aren't usually cursed...people are. The antiques though can hold residual energies from previous owners. Before purchasing any previously used items, I suggest that you hold or touch the item in question and see if you get any feelings from it, negative or positive.

Not sure if it is classified under curses, but these artefacts have been around for so long, they are bound to absorb bad vibes from the surroundings, especially if they are placed or used in a violent situation.
For example, new collectors are not advised to buy ancient weapons, as there had been used in killing people. The grievances of the killed are often attached to the weapons and these spirits may attack the owner, in retaliation of their deaths.
I get this from a collector friend of mine who goes for Japanese katanas.
He used to buy them from Japanese flea markets, but an incident happened. Its not for me to say but the weapon was said to trace to an Japanese army officer in World War 2.
As for cleansing, I've heard bringing the items to Buddhist temples for blessings and using certain crystals would help to alter the bad vibes

Very Very undesirable concept, to apply potential to wish sick on somebody, no longer to show you deliver undesirable vibes and curses for undesirable success. This no shaggy dog tale, somebody can die from this. in case you are trying this, then any harm you reason will come back on you X3. Peace, omit Zoe.

Sure, Just like certain items can bring good fortune they can also bring bad. You can also bring energies into your home that are attached to the item.

objects can absolutely hold "emotional energy."
I don't think that I would call this cursed
but I have "cleansed" a piece of two of furniture in my day.
you can use white light, crystal and sage, among other things.

I think it's nonsense. There is no such thing as luck, or curses.
