Definately Mac is better. It's more secure, easier to use, easiert to upgrade, the OS is faster and has better multitasking, it doesn't treat you like an idiot, plug-n-play actually works on a Mac, and Macs can run more software!
That's right, Macs can run more software. That's because they can run all OS X software, all Linux software, and all Windows software. No other computer can do that.

Windows has a much larger market share than Macintosh because many PC manufacturers were licensed to sell computers with Windows on them. Therefore there were dozens of PC manufactureres in the 1990's pushing their computers...and they all sold Windows as their operating system.
Apple, on the otherhand, sold their operating system only on the computers they manufacturered. For a while, however, they did license their operating software to another PC manufacturing company, but then didn't renew their contract. So Apple never hit "critical mass" like Windows did.
Essentially dozens of other companies were selling PC through all different channels, underneath many different brands and styles, while Apple was the sole manufacturer for their equipment. They were one company out of many.
This story gets more interesting when you consider what happened next with the success of the iPod. Apple has the majority of market share for their mp3 player even though there were many other mp3 manufacturers. But in order to make it widely popular, they had to make it available to "the masses" by making it operable on PC computers, rather than keeping it exclusive to Mac-only users.

McDonald's is more popular but their food sucks. People do not always buy the best merchandise. Mac is better, trust me on this one. I promise you Macs will stay up and running longer than Windows on any turf.

Mac is probally better. But most software is only made for Windows. And most people know how to use Windows.
You can either have a computer that runs great, but you can't put most of your software on it and you are confused on how to use it. Or you can have a computer that runs average, but has all of your software and you know how to use.
