First of all, when you have artificial insemination, you need an egg. You need the women to get it. You still need the women when the egg is fertilized. You don't actually think that babies grow straight out of petri dishes right?

As far as I knew, both sperm and eggs were still needed for artificial insemination and in vitro fertilization. So unless you can think of a way to artificially create genetic material (so that our species does not become inbred), we're stuck with both sexes.
