I have a question about chemistry.
1)When a metal is burned in O2 and mixed with H2O what is formed?
2)When a non metal is burned in O2 and mixed with H2O what is formed?

anytime anything is burned, CO_2 and H_2O are formed.

Another word for burning is oxidizing.

For example oxidizing iron (Fe) will produce rust (Fe2O3).

The compound formed depends on the common charge found on the material.
