Where have you been? Remember last November?

That's a matter of opinion, isn't it? So far, I have not seen too many Republicans announce that they are running for President. This could be an off election year for Republicans. The country has had enough of a Republican Congress & Senate that did nothing to stop or hinder a Republican President. They rubber stamped every stupid thing he did & maybe some feel that we just need a change from the top down. Down has pretty much taken care of it's self. Unless the Republicans can come up with someone to run against a rather good field of Democrats; I don't think they can win the Presidency again. With the election almost 2 years away, I don't see how you can conceed a Democratic defeat. When are you going to learn that you can't read minds & predict the future?

When the Republicans stop handing elections to them, like in 2006. The wimpy Republicans didn't want to do anything about immigration, so they went limp and handed the 2006 election to the Democrats. This way they have an excuse to continue to do nothing about illegal immigration by blaming the Democrats. Otherwise ,if they had kept a majority ,they would have actually had to do something real about illegal immigration, as they were running out of excuses.

Yep, once again. We will see Katie Couric weep on the nightly news, wearing black. We will hear about all the voting fraud and listen to all the whining for another 4 years.

Thats right Mr. Dirt, I hope it is said the same way it's spelled.
We are so not use to living in the past we are looking toward the future. I mean Dems are still whining about 2000 elections and frankly I think it is good to have a shift once in awhile. Meanwhile we win in 2008.

I hate to admit it but I think they will win this go round. Get ready for tax hikes!! The media did well in portraying President as a bumbling idiot and the person to blame for everything. But as I see it, (I know you libs won't like this) the economy is strong. Inflation is damn near zero. Taxes are low but government income is up. (That's usually how it works) thereby lowering the deficit. Unemployment is at or near record lows. the stock market is at record highs. Oil prices are high but coming down quickly. In the last 6 yrs., housing prices have skyrocketed giving homeowners unprecedented capital gains. And the interest rate for borrowers is at late 1960's levels.
I know you libs are screaming right now...what about the war? What about it? We overthrew a tyrannical, murderous dictator. We are building hospitals, schools, and the like. We are training the Iraqi army and police force. I know we're not perfect over there but it's better than the media will tell you (personally spoken with many soldiers and they are pissed at the media).

I guess Viking doesn't care that all those "benefits" he mentions were acquired by bush & the republicans putting the US into the greatest deficit in history. Who do you think is eventually going to pay for all that, or are you one of those people that live beyond your means, and when you are so much in hock just file for bankrupcy? How the hell is the economy in such great shape when we owe money up to our gazzos. What an idiotic moronic comment that is!
