Book and Newspaper Help?

Ok I am supposed to get a new-report on the book I'm reading it called Dicey's Song by Cynthia Voigt what would be a good kind of article? Also I have to do a reading log and I don't even really read the book where can I find out what it's about??

It is awfully hard to do a reading log if you don't read the book. Why not just go read the book and do your homework.
