Just make yourself unavailable. Have plans anytime she calls wanting to do something or just don't answer for awhile. However, it may be considerate to help her in the future after sometime for her to wonder approach her to go out on your terms and explain how you feel. Help her see her faults, it will make you a better person and maybe awaken her to things she needs to change. I'm not sure of your ages, but she might need to change to advance herself in the workplace and quite possibly she is unaware of her shortcomings.

If you're too anxious to tell her to her face (and I would be) you could write her a letter explaining that you don't think the friendship will work any more and that you're just not compatible as friends. Tell her you'll cherish the good memories you have but that it would probably be best for you both if you no longer speak. This is the polite way to go about it, anyway...

Say,"I don't want to be your friend anymore. I think you are a snob." and walk away.

Just tell her that you don't like the way she has been acting and don't want to be around her anymore. Good Luck!

Hey there, hey don't be rude to her, even if she is rude to you. So just be her acquaintance, more of a friend just stop hanging out with her and don't make her your enemy though!
