The good stuff has been marketed out of the mainstream and into the underground.

Oh, and you forgot KRS-One in that list.

I surely am sick of rap/hip-hop. New AND old. It isn't music and never has been. It's belligerent black youth street poetry, maybe, but it's all basically crap and has taken over the entire popular music scene somehow. The sooner it all dies the better. I learned to love music through Duke Ellington, the Temptations, the Supremes, B.B. and Albert King, Chuck Berry, and Jimi Hendrix, so this isn't a racial thing, either.

Ja Rule and Fiddy Cent maimed, tortured and murdered it. Grandmaster Flash, the Beastie Boys, De la Soul, KRS One, Del the Funkee Homosapien, Lyrics Born, Blackalicious, the Roots, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, Bahamadia and Mos Def were all on the funeral and are waiting for the killers to be presented to justice.

AMEN!!! I like Grandmaster Flash. He pwned all the other MC's. Seriously though, the old stuff is great it's the new stuff I hate. As far as new school rap is concerned, "It's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how i keep from goin' under". I bet you most of 'em today don't even know who 2-live crew is!!!
