The BIA's responsibility is to help develop, protect and maintain the land that is held in trust to the federally recognised tribes by the US. I believe that they have upheld thier reputation as to aiding tribes in this area, and that advancement relies on the overall development of each indivual tribe and the land that they reside upon. although i do agree with answerer #1, to be adequate in these areas, it seems that there should be a more diverse, (if not whole) panel.

The NCAI is there to monitor and aid in the advancement and protection of existing tribal programs and services. This congress was launched because of the attempts to diminish tribal peoples rights and continues to help tribes throughout the country. With the NCAI supporting individual tribes in the protection of health care, education, economic oppurtunity and resources that are available to them now, it is definitely a step towards the better for everyone.

The NIGA are there to monitor gaming operations, to make sure that all statutues are followed and that each gaming facility stays in compliance with the individual gaming laws of each perspective state of which a tribe may choose to open a facility.
NIGA is doing very well in aiding tribal operations with there success. NIGA makes themselves very available when it comes to the needs of anyone who has questions about regulations.
I believe that gaming is the most successful enterprise of tribes today, and that it will only advance in the future. NIGA is an excellent example of a class "A" association, which aids in the advancement and monitoring of any Tribe of america.

They are all here to help tribal people, although all in different ways, they are very helpful in the advancement of Native American Tribes.

Unfortunately, the Bureau of Indian Affairs is NOT a Native American organization. It is a bureau. As in bureaucrats. Mostly whites who live in Washington and haven't a clue as what the tribes need or want, but only what Congress needs or wants.

The other two are presumably native organizations, and unfortunately, I know very little about them. I believe the Congress has been mentioned before, but the Gaming association is unknown to me. I presume it is helping with revenues for the tribes.

I think it is necessary for the tribes to work together to get justice from the government, which after all for their purposes is a foreign government. National organizations can raise funds to retain lawyers and other professionals to get what the tribes need and want, and coordinate the efforts of all the North American tribes. So in general, national organizations are beneficial for that reason alone, without getting specific about their agenda.
