My little sister and her friends are into something called emo is it dangerous i've seen some of her friends type about razor blades and butterflies, should we be worried

it depends on how serious they are emo is people that get majorly emotional bout things..i have one friend that was emo nd his gf broke up wit him nd he got so upset he started to cut himself..he had gone to therapy nd told the dr he wanted to die the dr had told him he should rephrase or he would have to have my friend committed..bein emo can be serious if u take it to that level its ok if ur lil sis is jus goin thru a phase but jus keep an eye on her make sure she doesnt get to serious bout this..make sure she stays safe nd keep an eye on her

Emo actually stands for emotiative or emotional hard core. It was a type of music in the 80s or something. It just came back and turned into a trend similer to punk or goth. I hate labeling people by the way they dress.

Yes. My friends used to think that I was emo and I didn't know what it meant. I just thought that it meant emotional. Then some kids started showing me scissors at school and then I got it.
Emo means that you cut yourself and it takes the pain away.
