I have been contacted by a company which is called TopGame Ltd. I was wondering, has anyone heard of this company in the UK? Here is the information for it: TopGame ltd.2 Hollybrook Place,London, G42 7HB. and the other address for this company is: 8901 Marmora Road,Glasgow, D04 89GR. If anyone knows that this company actually exists, please let me know..and a phone number would be great too!! Thanks!!!

According to http://www.postcode-info.co.uk/index.html these postcodes are not in their database.
Could you give any more information, are they trying to get money from you ? Sounds pretty much like a con whichever way you look at it.
Just done a bit of digging, with thanks to JAM & Bridget.
Top Games Direct Ltd were a company that were dissolved in November 2005.They were based in Beckwith Rd London. Not too far away from Marmora Rd.They were a software company.
Topgame Ltd whose website JAM found is not listed on the companies house register.
I'll let you decide what to do with the info!

Those addresses look to me at first glance to be completely bogus.

I've got out my A-Z of London and there is no such road within the capital by that name spelt with either one L or two. It would also not have a postcode beginning with "G" - G is usually Glasgow.

There is a Marmora Road in London, but this would begin with the code "SE22". A google search for "Marmora Road Glasgow" brings up various companies (my personal favourite is orbistelecom, who although seemingly based at this address in Glasgow don't actually speak English!!) apparently all trading at that same address in Glasgow - so many in fact that I think it is a bogus address just like "123 High Street, Anytown" would be, and they all have very strange phone numbers - +1 800 559 6580 seems to be a favourite, but it can't work for all of them, so that probably isn't real either!! D04 89GR is a really suspicious postal code too, though that doesn't mean it isn't real - it's certainly not a standard UK code.

This has "Nigerian 419 Spam" written all over it I'm afraid. I wouldn't go near a company using that address in Glasgow with a ten-foot bargepole!

In summary then, given that the address in Glasgow seems to be a standard website "template" address that may or may not exist, and the address in London certainly doesn't exist, I would suggest you press the delete button immediately!

I think you or they have got that the wrong way round. Hollybrook Place is in Glasgow and Marmora Road is in London SE22. That second postcode does not look right. Sounds a bit dodgy to me. What have they contacted you about? If it is an unsolicited email then it is almost certainly a scam.

I couldn't find it on google, try google maps and other search sites and see if you can find it.
If you got an e-mail to say you won a lottery then I guess its another scam but since it originates in England you can sue using Trading Standards and the Small Claims Court. Unless the address doesn't exist.

Hi, just looked at their web and they seem to exist ..http://www.topgameltd.net/index.html try and see if they are the ones plus all the address looks quite right.
Although i don't understand why they don't quite have a UK code telephone contact.
Try e-mailing them too that might help.
Good luck

If they have told you that you have won something - ignore them.
