You HAVE to love yourself to except love from someone else. My theory is this: in order for you to acknowledge, except and embrace the love from someone else you have to believe and know you ARE worthy of it, thus loving oneself. If you do NOT love yourself you don't acknowledge, except or embrace it from anyone because you can't understand it, in essence building insecurities, wondering if they really love you or if they are cheating, etc. I don't know this is just my theory and I wanted to get some opinions on it.

Tiger, I'm just saying you have to be able to acknowledge the good in yourself and love yourself in order to be able to see and except it from another.

Ms. I cant agree more, I feel that is a big problem in my relationship, my wife is so insecure about the way she looks, but she is so hot. she is very withdrawn in the bedroom and this is having its toll on me. Now she is saything that I dont love her anymore and thats not the case, I do more than anything but I think she feels thats i dont and ive come across things telling me she is looking elsewhere and giving up. I dont know what to do. BUT yes you must love yourself inorder to be loved or you wont let them love you.........

i do not agree. I have loved and been loved several times. If you have to validate yourself to be loved by another person that says alot about the relationship in a nutshell. love is love end of story.

This is not just a theory. It is a Universal Law. It is called The Law Of Attraction. We attract what we are. If we are loving then we attract loving people. If we are insecure and fearful, then we attract insecure and loving people.

I agree with that whole heartedly! Very very true. if you are too busy feeling sorry for yourself it is hard to love or have feelings for anyone else!

I agree. Insecurity is one's worst enemy, and makes relationships very difficult.
