It would depend on your rate our existence in terms of worth. If it were to be based on our understandings of the world in terms of science then no, we will never reach a peak as our understandings of our enviroment continue to grow every day through new discovereys and so forth.

It is possible that in terms of relations between people, cultures and societys that we have reached a so called peak as it is true that we will probably never reach a utopian society where everyone is considered equal without predjuce. Whilst those persecuted and targeted for racial or societial bashing may change, there will always be a minority or group (as has been proved throughout history) which is targeted for said attacks.

However in terms of sustainabilty and long term survival of the human race we are almost certainly moving toward a low point due to the damage science, overpopulation and medicine is doing to the enviroment!

Whether we are at our peak depends upon how much longer we last.

If we don't destroy the human race with global warming, war, or something else, then we will have much greater things in the future. On thing I believe will eventually happen is the transfer of our thought processes from our biological brains into electronic media and our minds will live on for thousands of years or more.

Of course. The media always tell us that we are at the peak of everything, but you can't believe that because things always advance in some way. The same goes with how we live. And don't turn to the bible for answers. It has a story where a man walks on water. Something like that shouldn't be looked to as an example. That's my oppinion, but you should believe what you want.
