If you're running a Microsoft operating system, go to their site and download the most recent DirectX and install it. But even before you do that, uninstall and delete ALL Javascript modules and the Flash Player, get new versions and install them, first.

Before you go to too much trouble, try the video on another PC to ensure that it's not corrupt. (Obviously you've tried the updates and the DirectX thing isn't the issue either because you wouldn't get that message). Other than that it is a compatibility issue - so check the video source for information on requirements. Then take the exact error message and stick it into google - you will get answers there. Without knowing more about the problem it's difficult to advise further.

give up! Bite the bullet and get firefox!

http://getfirefox.com then in there get the latest flash, and view your videos!!!

firefox works!

PS I know the problem... it started when you got an update from microsoft! they had to make changes and it won't work until everybody updated their flash videos!!!

It could also be your browser type and version. Make sure (on Windows XP) that it works in Internet Explorer 6
