I would love to have any of the big cats - lion, tiger, leopard, cheetah. I think they are gorgeous animals and I would love to cuddle into one if it wouldn't bite my head off...

The domestication of wild animals takes many 100s, if not 1,000s of years through the process of selective breeding to encourage or discourage different traits. Therefore, there is not single person who could domesticate a wild animal.
To an extent wild animals can be 'tamed' and taught to live alongside humans, but they still retain their wild desires and needs and are by no means domestc in the sense of cats and dogs. The 'teaching' processes used are also very aggressive, cruel and toturous - why would anyone wish to do that? And are only effective on young animals are those not as strong as humans

Not that I REALLY would do that as I believe the wild animals must stay wild - that is Gow made them. BUT, if I daydream then I would like to have an orangutan as a companion. They share 96% of our DNA and really think.............. unlike many humans I know............... I have watched them on tv and they are so humalike that I could really share a home with them!! A Killerwhale I think would also make a superb companion (let's not think about the problem of him living in water, remember we are daydreaming....). They are intelligent and can think so superbly. One reader here mentioned a meerkat. I so agree with her!! On Animal Planet is a program MEERKAT MANOR. These two people have been filming a family of meerkats for 14 years. it is fascinitaing to watch them and if you look at the everyday life of the meerkat, yes they would make nice housemates!! All this tongue in the cheek of course, and pure daydreaming.........

My husband, never wants to do the ruddy dishes:))) Nooo, would not like to domesticate any wild animal, i feel they belong in the Nature and that is where they are at their happiest. I love animals , i hate snakes but love spiders. Not that i would kill snakes, i just find them creepy.:))

Meerkats - one or a family.
They are just lovely and they look so "human" somehow...
I fell in love ever since the BBC documentary with Simon King, who stayed outside their nest for days until they got so used to him that they used him as an observatory point to get an even better point of view to scan the area for danger.
Another animal I would like to "have" is a racoon because they just looks like playful masked rascals and I know that they like watching TV. I would like to test them for their taste (will it be British, French, Italian or German TV they prefer??)

A Giraffe. I'm afraid of heights, so I'd like to train him to do all the high work on my house, like clean the gutters and point the bricks on my chimney.
