they said they would get in touch with me for a second interview. I wanted to write an email to them to let them know that i was interested in the job without making it obvious or sound like I was begging for the position. I am stuck on what to say though. I have never written an email like this before. Can anyone give me some good things to start with? Some pointers on how to compose this email?

I really thought that I posted this in careers. Strange, huh.

I think Dane and ottowan are right. I'm just going to sit back and let it happen. Thanks.

Don't...
They said they would be in touch. They will be. You'll just come across as desperate and overly eager.

Such an email will not add any positive factor in your favour because all those who came for the interview were interested in the job. Just wait and shine in the second interview because you are a part of a short list now with other competitors.

I would just e-mail them and let them know that you are interested in the job and would love to be set up for a second interview.

write email to thank them for giving you the chance for interview and that you are looking forward for the second one and two sentences about how the job interests you. that will remind them of their promise to give you second interview and let them know you are interested. nothing more nothing less.

You can write a basic email thanking them for their time. You can state that you look forward to further discussing your suitability for the job.

Hi FaerieWhings

My advice would be to just sit tight & wait for them to process all the applications, I am sure they will get back in touch with you,
You don't say what type of job you looking for so now you got me wondering???
I wish you goodluck .... let me know how you get on? ...
