Whatever it was that motivated to work hard; and you dreamed at night what it would be like, and you workd so hard for it...but in the end you fell short of glory ? Do you ever wodner what it would be like? ...or anything for that matter?

Most importantly never give up on what you want or know you do well. Contributing to life is better than letting others get you down, no one has that much power on Earth. Money is always needed but not at the expense of a human's dream.

If you go for your dream and don't QUITE make it, at least you aimed for what you wanted and got close. Then, you're more likely to continue in work you enjoy.

For example, think of an athlete who goes to the Olympics and gets the silver. Or, who takes 4th place.

Is s/he better off winding up in a career coaching others in that event or working as an accountant.

I believe completely in going for the gold. Even if you don't get it, you're closer to your dream and more likely to enjoy your life.

I have attained goals that I thought would make me "forever happy" and once I got it I realized I am still the same person now with an achieved goal
