I might me getting a job in pittsburgh and I'm wondering how long it takes to get there from NJ. Map point was 389 miles and 6 hours but one of my customers told me that it should only take 4-41/2 hours which if accurate would be really great. I'm going to be traveling back and forth alot.

389 miles is pretty close to correct, and there's no way you can possibly drive that in 4 hours--even if you grossly exceeded the speed limit. You'll take I-80 all the way across Pennsylvania and then go south on I-79.

It is about 375 miles. Go 80 West to 287 South (21 miles) to 78 West (107 miles) to 81 South (37 miles) to 76 West (PA Turnpike) (171 miles) to 376 West (15 miles). Best and fastest way to go. 375 miles at 65 mph is 5.75 hours. That does not include bathroom stops, eating, fueling or anything like wrecks or traffic or weather conditions. If your friend is doing that in 4.5 hours I DO NOT want to be on the same highway with him or her. That is over 80 mph average and I CAN NOT believe it is done in that length of time without endangering their life or someone else's.
