It doesn't matter WHICH types of housework the two of you do; all that matters is THAT you both do housework. If you don't split it evenly...well, he needs a SERIOUS talking to. :P

Aren't you boys sharing the duty around the house? If he refuses, ask why. If he doesn't have a reason, then move onto something else and keep doing your own laundry.

That may seem a bit "bitchy" but perhaps a split in the housework is the answer. Talk about sharing the duties with a notepad and pen. Insist that it is only for the sake of organization, not personal. If you set down a plan for one another, it should keep things civil and positive. This will get the laundry done and leave time for...each other.
