I am a manager at McDonald's recently we decieded to start a About us bourd that the customers can learn about our crew. I have been put in chrge of this project. I have already thought of the obvious name and what jobs do you preform type of questions as well as how long have they been with our company but what other kinds of things should I put on this. We want our customers to feel more connected to our crew but we don't want to get to personal either. I was thinking about maybe putting something about family like if they have kids or how long they been married if they are but I am not totally sure about that cause well what exactly would I put for single childless people? Anyway any help would be greatly apperiated I'm still in a major brain storm mode.

What schools they went to. Customers are interested because maybe they went there also..
Where they were born and grew up. Maybe a customer came from the same area or is interested in the area.
Their favorite McDonald's meals. Might give a customer an idea for a new product they haven't thought of trying.
What they would like to do in the future. Let's people (or maybe future employees) know McDonald's is a great place where you can start your working career.
Where they would like to travel to someday. People love to see other peoples hopes dreams.
Who their favorite sports team is. Creates common ground for employee/customer relationship. Customers tend to spend more $$ if they like the people they are talking to.
What their favorite TV show is. Same as above.
Why they began working at McDonald's. Maybe for one employee it was the health benifits (like a single mom). Another may work there because she was bored after retiring and liked working with the public. Could be that they want a company that will provide them with room to advance their careers.

There are a lot of kooks out there, by no means put last names on there, or pictures of their children, that invites the kooks to stalk people.. the board is a good idea. but keep the info more business like, like how long they have worked there and what they do, and how many big macs they have sold make a contest out of it.. to see how many they can see. something like that.. Just try not to give out to much personal info.. you would be asking for trouble with the younger people working there.. You might do a baby picture of them and see if the customers can guess who is who.. best of luck..

Asking about children and marital status is a tad personal. Maybe you could ask your crew what their favorite item is on the McDonald's menu. You could list their hobbies, a favorite book or movie, what they do when they're not working, etc.

What is your favorite meal on the menu ??
What do you do on your spare time??
Can you tell us some of your hobbies??

Well I think that if all who participate in the project talk about what their favorite McDonald's food is and why, how long has it been their favorite, have they ever changed their mind and switched, you know things like that. it will make costumers feel they have something in common with that employee don't you think?

I believe putting marital status and children are too personal for people to see. How about listing a few hobbies, favorite movie, favorite book, favorite music, FAVORITE MCDONALD'S SANDWICH!
