I have nothing more to say. All the given answers are right. I may add that perhaps there was another planet which exploded (Xercès I believe), and the pieces can still be seen (turning as an asteroid belt ?) between Mars and Jupiter.

my very excellent mother just served us knots (the bread)
mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, and neptune. pluto is not a planet anymore.
