I was wondering who provides the Federal Reserve with the special paper that they print money with? A specific company name would be nice. Thanks!

Crane Paper Company of Dalton, Massachusetts.

Reportedly it all began when Stephen Crane sold paper to Paul Revere for the first paper currency. In 1844, they introduced the method of adding colored threads to deter counterfeiters.

The linen they get for the 'paper' comes from manufacturering scraps in textile mills in the south.
