Just buy the necesities (sleepers, onesies, socks, etc) in a gender neutral color like yellow or green. If you are having a baby shower, wait till after your next ultrasound-then shop after the baby shower. Sometimes you get a lot of things at your shower and sometimes you just get junk (like bottle piggy banks lol). Babies grow so fast, I did find out and got tons of blue stuff-but he only wore the 0-3 months stuff for a month before he outgrew it.

Go with her feelings, she could very well be right but she could also be wrong...At my ultrasound with my last baby the u/s technician said it "looked" like a boy but she wasnt sure either, just a few weeks later it was indeed a boy that we saw on ultrasound again. U can go with your instinct and trust what she says and start buying girlie things or u can hold off until 12 weeks when she will be 100% positive, its merely up to you...I can say I went with the u/s technicians guess and started thinking and looking at boy everything with no issues..If u choose u can buy stuff and just return them if anything, but most likely if she says its a girl, its probably a girl....Either way when you find out again at 32 weeks u will still have about 6-8 weeks left to go before the baby comes which is plenty of time..Good Luck and congrats!!

Well, I hate to say it but you just don't know right now. Your 20 week ultrasound isn't really for determining sex of your baby. It's to determine size, growth, and health of your baby. Women never knew what the sex of their baby was for 1,000s of years and they made it. There are a TON of things you can do to get ready for your baby that doesn't have to do with buying blue or pink.
That being said, I know how incredibly frustrating that is and of the my 4 children (born '97 to '04) I only knew twice (not by my choice) what sex they were before birth.
Even if she said she felt 100% that it was a girl and you bought everything pink, when the day comes, it still could be a boy and there's not anything that you can do about it. It happens all the time. GOOD LUCK!

My mom become informed she become having a lady for her being pregnant and that i now have a 13 12 months previous brother. i understand for my son's ultrasound at 20 weeks, there become no mistaking a boy...you should obviously see the penis and testicles on the ultrasound. although, I had a severe-threat being pregnant and had about 5 ultrasounds finished. I kept asking if my infant become nonetheless a boy and that all of them reassured me! LOL! no longer something is 100% particular, yet they're typically appropriate. there's a particular window that they are able to looking out the sex...the infant must be sufficiently massive, yet also no longer too great. typically that is about from 16 - 30 weeks...if it is any previously/later it is more suitable of a wager on the tech's section. when you're nonetheless no longer delicate with the tech's answer at 20 weeks, you may continually bypass and performance the 4-D ultrasound executed. those are more suitable precise. both one of my sister-in-guidelines had those executed to substantiate gender and evidently see the infant in additional suitable element and they were both appropriate!

Oh, remember the days when people had to completely stock up without ever knowthing the gender of their babies. What did we wear? All those neutral sleepers, and (gasp) yellow blankets!
If you ever plan on having more than one child, neutral is the way to go as far as equipment and basics anyway. Stroller, carseat, playpen, highchair, crib, baby tub, jumper, swing, toys, bottles, that all can be bought without knowing the sex. Onesies, bibs, receiving blankets, sheets, sure they come in cutesy colors for boys and girls, but gee there's a lot of neutral stuff, too. When the tech said not to buy anything, she didn't mean at all, she meant don't go buy all pink.

First of all, at 32 weeks you will still have plenty of time to shop for things. Second, no matter what, when they tell you what sex it is there is always room for error. If you must go shopping now (I can completely understand lol, that silly nesting instinct) buy a few unisex things. If you must buy girl things make sure to leave all the tags on them and keep the reciepts (until after you give birth).

If they arent at least 75% sure then I wouldnt go out and buying pink stuff yet. It is hard finding green and yellow stuff, I know. Be carfull with the ultrasounds though, you shouldnt have another one just to determine the sex of teh baby, your insurance company might not cover it unless it is "nessecary" and finding out the sex isnt considered "nessecary"
Try Kohls, they had a lot of unisex stuff :)

just get the necessites. like diapers, wipes, bottles (if you plan to bottle feed or a breast pump if you decide to breastfeed), a few onesies, like the shades of white and yellow, some different shades of pajamas, ex. white, yellow, green, red. you can buy almost anything, and buy plenty of unisex things! as for a nursery, try to go something like noah's ark, or clouds and moons things like that. just enjoy the things that you get, and when you find out what the baby is FOR SURE, than go out and buy the pretty little pink things or cute blue things! just try to go for those unisex colors! good luck and congratulations!

I am 31 weeks with number 6, (2 sons) and believe it or not they were my surprise babies. I only had one ultrasound during each of those pregnancies, and my sons decided to play shy and cross their legs so we couldn't tell. At least you will be getting another u/s so you can know for sure...good luck!!!

Does your OBGYN have an ultrasound in his practice? My obgyn has one that he used last time when we didn't know. Otherwise, see if your obgyn can schedule another ultrasound for some reason...
Also, a local hopsital has free ultrasounds for their patients. All you do is call and tell them you want an ultrasound with a student. It's a student in training with a (very!!) experienced ob teaching.
